Walter Lorenzo Holbrook (1869-1947) was born at Ogden, Utah, the son of Walter Scott Holbrook (1843-1893) and Mary Elizabeth Bullock Holbrook (1848-1930). He joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1898. He married Ethel Pike in 1899 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had four children, 1900-1912. The family moved to Baker, Oregon, in 1910; to Salt Lake City in 1911; to Provo, Utah, in 1913, and back to Ogden in 1917. He died at Ogden.
