John Thayer was born about 1500/1503 in Thornbury, Gloucester, England. This book traces his descendants and relations in the County of Gloucester, England, especially those connected with the parishes of Thornbury, and Brockworth. Some of his great-grandchildren, siblings Thomas, Richard and Agnes Thayer, their nephew Nathaniel, and their cousin Cecily Thayer immigrated to the American colonies between 1660 and 1668.
