Jacob Heinrich Thiessen (b.1781) was born in Prussia and immigrated to Tiegenhagen, Molotschna, Ukraine in 1805. He was the father of ten children. The Thiessen family were Mennonite in their religious beliefs, and some members suffered greatly for their religion. After the Communist takeover of Russia, many members of the family fled Ukraine. Peter P. Wiebe (1891-1968) was born near Rosenfeld, Manitoba, Canada to Peter B. Wiebe (1857-1924) and Anna Wiebe (1858-1935). In 1918 he married Margaretha Thiessen (1892-1977). She was the daughter of Franz Thiessen (1859-1939) and Eva Dueck (1860-1918). Peter and Margaretha became the parents of four children. Descendants live in Manitoba.

Jacob Siemens III (1823-1895) was born in Rudner, South Russia. He married Elizabeth Harder 17 October 1846. They were the parents of thirteen children who were all born in Russia. In 1874, the family immigrated to the United States and settled in Mc Pherson Co., Kansas. Descendants lived in primarily in Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, California and elsewhere.

Frank Reimer (1856-1937) married Margaret Reimer in 1884, and in 1902 the family emigrated from Russia to Winkler, Manitoba.
