Patrick Dimond/Diamond/Dimon immigrated to America from Ireland sometime between 1757 and 1772. He married Sarah Stewart/Stuart and they had six children. Sarah died around Oct 1801 and Patrick died in Dec 1790 in Guilford County, North Carolina. Their children and descendants have lived in North Carolia, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, and other areas throughout the United States.

In 1837, William Thomasson married Ellen Storey and they had ten children before 1863 when them emigrated from Liverpool, England to Queensland, Australia. One more son, Walter was born there. Their son, John and his wife, Martha Cooper Thomasson had already emigrated in 1859.

Sarah Elizabeth Wright was born December 12, 1874 in Caldwell County, Texas. Her parents were Isaac Shipman Wright and Minerva Louisa Neatherlin. She married Lewis Alexander Thomasson, son of John Anthony Thomasson and Mary Elizabeth Rue, on November 2, 1894 in Burnet County, Texas. They had 11 children. Sarah died October 18, 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas.
