Thomas Barnett Yager (1853-1916) and Sarah Elizabeth Christian (1856-1940) were married in 1876. They had ten children, 1878-1895. A note states that Thomas Barnett and Sarah Elizabeth (Sally Bet) Yager were raised and died at Moberly, Missouri.

Thomas Shepherd, who settled the village of Shepherdstown, West Virginia, was probably born in Maryland, the grandson of Thomas Shepherd, who had lived in Prince George County, Maryland, prior to 1698. He and his wife, Elizabeth Van Meter, had ten children, 1734-1758. Descendants listed lived in West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Kansas, Indiana, Oklahoma, and elsewhere.
