Joh Matheus Tice (Theiss) was born 18 May 1704 in Birkenfeld, Grunbach, Germany. He emigrated to America on the ship "Thistle" arriving in the Port of Philadelphia 29 August 1730. He died 24 August 1748 in Lebanon Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Abraham Lesher was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania, 15 May 1757. He served in Capt. Keefer's Company of Berks County Militia, during the Revolutionary War. After the war, he moved west to Bedford County, Pennsylvania, where he married Elizabeth Humbert, about 1790. They had six sons and six daughters. He died 19 May 1839. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Illinois, Kansas and elsewhere.

William Rogers (b.1612) was the son of Thomas Rogers, Jr. He married Ann Hall in 1630 and they were the parents of six children. Their son Obadiah (b.1633) married Mary Marvin, the daughter of Robert Marvin and Mary Browne. They were the parents of seven children. Several generations of descendants are given. She was born 16 June 1815 and died 12 February 1880. After Daniel died, Susannah married J. J. Bowman (1804-1906).
