Thomas Locke (1750-1826) was born in St. Albans, Hertfordshire England. He immigrated to Virginia ca. 1773 and married Susanna Henry (1758-1827) in Botetourt County, Virginia on 24 December 1777 and raised eleven children. They later moved to Sevierville, Sevier, Tennessee where they lived on 600 acres of land. Descendants lived in chiefly in Tennessee, and also Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Ohio, Alabama, Georgia and elsewhere.

James Munson (1863-1943) and his twin brother, Thomas H. Munson, emigrated from Sweden to land near Cherokee, Iowa. They were later joined by two of their brothers, Martin and August.
