Description
These records are numbered in one large series of 116 volumes. There are separate indexes for mortgages, deeds, and miscellaneous records. Patent records are indexed with the deeds. Release and assignment records are indexed with mortgages.
The miscellaneous records include physician's licenses, some wills, and land,oil and gas leases.
Tillman County was created from Comanche and Kiowa Counties in 1907.

Description
Most of the marriages were recorded at the county seat in Frederick, but some were recorded in Grandview, located in southeast Tillman County. The Grandview records are in separate volumes with a separate index. They are listed after the main records for Tillman County.

The dates given for these records represent the date each case was filed with the court. The documents within the files cover a range of dates depending on the duration of the court case.

Description
Information about each pupil on the school censuses includes name of parent or guardian; post office; township or street address; name of child; color; sex; date of birth (month, day, year); age; whether the child was deaf, dumb or blind and the name of the tribe if the child or his parents were Indian or freedman.
Parts of the Tripp, Pleasant Valley and Victor Districts were administered as part of Kiowa County in 1925 and 1926.

Description
These divorce case files were taken from the files of the District Court of Tillman County. There are gaps in the case file numbers through 1943 because only the divorce cases were filmed. In 1943 the court began numbering divorce cases separately, so the file numbers continue unbroken.
