George Christian Lindford was born in Idaho in 1877. His parents were early members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and settled in southeastern Idaho. In 1910 he married Alice Peterson and they lived in Idaho and northern Utah. They had seven children. Information on their life, ancestry, and descendants is given in this volume. Descendants now live in Utah, Idaho, Washington, and elsewhere.

George Timmons was born 1760 in Frederick Co., Virginia. Prior to 1780, he moved to Hampshire Co., Virginia and was there drafted into military service. Later, he settled in Hopkins Co., Kentucky. George was married at least three times and was the father of thirteen known children. He died 6 April 1845 in Kentucky. Descendants live primarily in Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Tennessee, Florida and elsewhere.

Descendants of Job Elbert Wilder Smith (1801-1880) who was born in North Carolina and later lived in Georgia. He was married three times: 1) Lucretia (d. ca. 1824); 2) Susan Graddy (d.1833), whom he married in Thomas County, Georgia in 1826; and 3) Nancy Pate, whom he married in Thomas County, Georgia in 1834. Robert Marion Gourdin (1799-1876) was born on a plantation at Buffalo Lick, South Carolina to Theodore Gourdin II (1764-1826) and Elizabeth Gaillard. He was descended from French Huguenots. While he was never married, he fathered at least seven children with his mulatto servant, Daphne Singleton (1813-1879?).
