Charles Hansen Toll (b. 1916) is a descendant of Charles (Carel) Hansen Toll (1784-1869) and Sara Hyde, who were married in 1809 and lived in New York. Barbara Schorer's ancestry is traced to Samuel Schorer (ca. 1786-ca. 1834) and his wife Verna Jendt (b. ca. 1786), both of Switzerland. Charles Toll married Barbara Schorer in Wilmington, North Carolina in 1942; they have lived in North Carolina, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
