Thomas Towers was born in 1772 in Bingham, Nottinghamshire, England. He married Elizabeth Cheatham in 1806 in Alexandria, D.C. They had two sons, William (1808-1882) and John Thomas (1811-1857). Thomas died 10 June 1820. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in the District of Columbia. Includes Hines, Lewis and related families.

James Franklin (b. 1650), a soldier in King Phillip's War, was living in Braintree, Massachusetts, in 1676. He was living in Rhode Island in 1693, moved to Dartmouth, Massachusetts, and was living in Swansea, Massachusetts, in 1716. He and his first wife had four children. He married 2) Elizabeth Hammond in 1695. Descendants lived in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and elsewhere.

Viola May "Babe" Towers was born in 1912 in California. In 1935 she married Grant Gay, a Latter-day Saint from Utah. She later was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had three daughters and information about her descendants along with material on many of her ancestral lines which run back into Scotland.
