John Pruett was born in about 1755 in Bedford County, Virginia. His parents were Henry Pruett and Rebecca. He married Eady Spencer in 1778. They had seven children. John served in the Revolutionary War. He died in 1837 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived in North Carolina, Texas, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Nebraska, Virginia, Tennessee, Missouri, Washington, Oregon, Oklahoma, California and elsewhere.

William Cook (1613-1677) and his wife, Mary Blackbourne emigrated from Bristol, England in 1633. Their son, William Jr. was born at sea, but Mary died. The mother of his second son, Phillip, also died. They, with his third wife, lived first in Wight Shire and then in Surry County, Virginia, where William Sr. died. Descendants have spread throughout the United States.

George Towery was born in about 1774 in North Carolina. His parents were Edward Towry and Elizabeth Cannon. He married Sophia Schweingruber (1777-1840) in about 1795. They had eight children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Kentucky.

John Estes, Jr. (d.1824) married Elizabeth Chisum, and moved from Carolina County, Virginia to Logan County, Kentucky. One of their children was Chism Estes (1774-1829), who married Mary Jordan and moved to Gallatin (now Saline) County, Illinois.
