Henry Nell was born in Germany or Switzerland. He was the son on Karl Nell who lived in Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany in the last part of the 18th century. Henry immigrated to America with his brother Charles and they landed at the port of Baltimore 22 August 1802. Henry settled in Reading Township. Adams Co., Pennsylvania. He married twice and was the father of eight children. Descendants lived primarily in the state of Pennsylvania.
