Peter Trautman was born about 1738 and died in 1809 in Pennsylvania. Where he came from is unknown and where he is buried is also unknown. He was married to Eva (possibly Meyer) and they had 3 children who lived in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He probably came with his family from Germany as a small child but there are few leads to what happened to him at his death. Information on many of his descendants are included within this material.

Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of Joshua Rust who was born ca. 1783 in Mecklingburg, North Carolina. He was the son of Peter Rust (born ca. 1760 in Virginia) and Elizabeth Balliew. Jushua married three times and lived in Graves Co., Kentucky. He was the father of nine sons and seven daughters. Descendants lived in Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennseess and elsewhere.

James Robertson (1788/1792-ca. 1851) was born in Scotland. He married Lilias Muter (1795-1880) in 1810. They had nine children. In 1855, Lilias and five children emigrated to the United States, settling in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Andreas Schmeltz came from Germany as a Hessian soldier in 1776. He married Anna Maria Waller in 1781 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he had been a prisoner during the war and stayed in the United States. Descendants are found throughout the United States but many are still found in Pennsylvania.
Includes Bohner, Kissinger, Klinger, Rebuck, Schmeltz, Shade, Smeltz, Synder, Troutman, Wiest and related families.

Jeremiah Young (ca. 1795-1865), a soldier in the War of 1812, was born in New Hampshire, probably a son of Jeremiah Young, a Revolutionary War soldier. He married Betsey Needham (1805-1846). They had ten children, ca. 1824-ca. 1843. The family migrated from Rutland County, Vermont, to Franklin County, New York, ca. 1827; moved to St. Lawrence County, New York, ca. 1837 and was living in Medina County, Ohio, by 1846. Michael Meyer (ca. 1672-1733) was born in Palatine Germany. He and his wife Anna had five children, one of whom, Johannes Hans Meyer (ca. 1699-1766), emigrated to America, settling in Pennsylvania. Some descendants of other children of Michael and Anna also moved to Pennsylvania, where many descendants still live. Spelling of the surname often varies greatly.

Daniel Maurer (1749-1832) was born in Grumbach, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany, son of Heinrich Maurer and Maria Katharina Erhardt. He immigrated to Philadelphia in 1764 and then lived in Lehigh and Berks counties, Pennsylvania. He married Regina Wagner. Both died at Pitman, Pennsylvania. His descendant, George H. Maurer, married Catherine Herb (1857-1895). Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and elsewhere.

David Brown was born 30 May 1801, presumably in Aquebogue, Long Island, New York. He was the son of William Brown and Phebe Corwin. David married Emiline Hatch 30 November 1826 in New York City. They were the parents of five known children. David died 12 February 1841 in New York City. Descendants lived in New York, New Jersey and elsewhere.

Robert Morris Crenshaw was born February 13, 1911 in Warrick County, Indiana. His parents were Clifton C. Crenshaw (1881-1960) and Eva Maude Youngblood (1878-1965). He married Orpah Blanche Rowe July 23, 1932. Her parents were Frank B. Rowe (1884-1960) and Nettie Horton (1885-1971). Traces their ancestors and descendants in Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Virginia and elsewhere.
