Andreas Schmeltz came from Germany as a Hessian soldier in 1776. He married Anna Maria Waller in 1781 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he had been a prisoner during the war and stayed in the United States. Descendants are found throughout the United States but many are still found in Pennsylvania.
Includes Bohner, Kissinger, Klinger, Rebuck, Schmeltz, Shade, Smeltz, Synder, Troutman, Wiest and related families.

Daniel Maurer (1749-1832) was born in Grumbach, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany, son of Heinrich Maurer and Maria Katharina Erhardt. He immigrated to Philadelphia in 1764 and then lived in Lehigh and Berks counties, Pennsylvania. He married Regina Wagner. Both died at Pitman, Pennsylvania. His descendant, George H. Maurer, married Catherine Herb (1857-1895). Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and elsewhere.

Samson Battey (fl.1675-1716) immigrated as early as 1675 from England or Wales to Jamestown, Conanicut Island, Rhode Island, and married Dinah Havens. He died after 1716. Among the direct descendants was Robert Battey (1828-1895), who married Martha Baldwin Smith in 1849, and moved from Augusta, Georgia to Rome, Floyd County, Georgia. Hans George Drautman (b.1710) emigrated in 1736 from Germany to Philadelphia, and was the direct ancestor of the author in the seventeenth generation. Many other Troutman or Troutman emigrants also arrived, including Hieronimus and Johannes Trautman who immigrated in 1743. Many of these are named, and some descendants and relatives are listed. Descendants of Jerg or Georg Schempp (fl. 1544-1578) of Bissingen, Württemberg, Germany. They later settled in Erkenbrechsweiler and Dettingen in the same province. Benjamin Bartholomew (1717-1760) was a wheelright in Chester County, Pennsylvania. He appears to have been the father of at least six children. One of his children was Daniel Bartholomew (1740-1779) who married Anna Maria Singmaster. Descendants live in Pennsylvania, Ohio and elsewhere.

Johannes Ehrenhardt was born in about 1689 in the Palatinate, Germany. His father was Johan Counrath Ehrenhart. Johannes married Anna Margaretha Funchen in about 1688 Ilbesheim, Bavaria, Germany. They had two sons. He married Anna Sybilla Taubin in 1721. They had eight children. He emigrated in 1744 with his son Johan Philip Ehrenhardt and settled in Pennsylvania.
