The Walloon-Huguenots were a protestant group from Belgium and France who escaped persecution in the 16th Century by settling in Holland. The Dutch later exiled the Walloons. John Perry was born in about 1716. He married Sarah Walton, daughter of Thomas Walton, Jr. and Sarah. They had eight children. He died in about 1785 in Sumter County, South Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in South Carolnia and Mississippi.
