John Tunnicliff was born in 1725 in England To George and Mary Tunnicliff. He married first Elizabeth Tunnicliff (a cousin) and his second wife was Mary Woodhouse. He came to New York with his family before his death in 1800. Mary died in 1802 in New York. William Lee Thomas, son of Thomas Thomas and Mary Powell, was born 20 May 1833 in California, Pennsylvania. He married Mary Elizabeth Cox, daughter of Richard Rue Cox (1805-1877) and Sarah Lamb Epperson (1809-1864), 22 May 1860 in Oxford, Illinois. They had seven children.
