Manford Cleveland Turman, son of Samuel Turman and Rachel Stewart, was born in 1885 in Buchanan, Kentucky. He married Sarah Elizabeth Turman, daughter of James Rouse Turman and Sarah Catherine Ricks, in 1906 in Butte, Montana. They had five children. James Powell was born about 1760. He married Mary Reeder and they had at least two sons and possibly as many as seven children. Eventually the family settled in Indiana. Information on many of their descendants as well as the roots of the Queen family who intermarried at soon point with this family is given in this volume.
