John William Hahn was born 14 January 1810 in Erbach, Hesse, Germany. His parents were John Hahn and Anna Darner. He married Ann Elizabeth Battenberg (1801-1899) in 1827. They had eleven children. They emigrated in about 1832 and lived first in Pennsylvania and then moved to Ohio in about 1834. He died in 1885. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ohio.

Jesse R. Tyson was born ca. 1805 (parents not listed). He married Rachel Wallace (birthdate and parents not listed) 6 Mar 1828 in Williamson County, Tennessee. Jesse died 28 Sep 1872 in Copiah County, Mississippi. Rachel died after 1890 in Copiah County. They were the parents of 8 children. Descendants have lived in Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida and elsewhere in the United States.

Mary Tyson was born at Blackburn, Lancashire, England in 1811, daughter of Matthew Tyson and Ann Marsden Tyson. After the death of her husband, Ann Tyson married Richard Ramsbottom in 1813. In 1828 Mary married James Slater, son of Ralph Slater and Ellen Campbell Slater. James and Mary and their family left England in 1841 and in 1843 were living in Fall River, Massachusetts. They decided to settle in Utah in 1854. James died on the way to Utah....
