"This congregation was organized in 1743 by Jacob Lischy, as a Reformed minister who at that time favored the Moravians. When the Moravians became a separate denomination in Pennsylvania, the Donegal congregation chose to become Moravian rather than Reformed. ... The church was located 1/2 mile north of the village of Milton Grove; it died out in the 19th Century" -- P. xvi.

Description
Rev. Illing was ordained an Anglican in London. In Pennsylvania he served both German and English in Lutheran churches. He served St. Peter's Lutheran in Middletown in Dauphin County, 1773-1788; St. John's at Maytown in Lancaster County 1777-1781 and probably Bishop's Lutheran in Mount Joy Township; Robeson Lutheran at Forest, now Plowville in Berks County 1781-1797 or 1798. He was living in Caernarvon Township, Lancaster County from 1790-1800...
