The cemeteries are located along the Bluestone River in Summers County, West Virginia. The book includes the cemeteries which were relocated because of a lake formed by a dam. Lilly was settled ca. 1800 and was also known as Lilly on the Bluestone. In the 1940's, it was a community of about 50 families when the area was surrendered to the Federal government for the Bluestone Dam control project.
