Description
The congregation was organized in 1756 and built a church called Lebanon Church "at the Blue Mountain". It was also known as Windsor Church "in and around the Blue Mountain", not to be confused with Windsor Castle Church. In 1769 a second church was built, also called Lebanon. By 1826 the Reformed congregation was sharing the church and in 1832 both congregations built St. Paul's, also known as Smoke Church. The union arrangement ended in 1964....

The church in Windsor Township, Berks Co., Pa. has many names. It has been known at times as the following: Lebanon Zion Windsor Gemeinde in und an Blauenberg (the church at the blue mountain). Another early name of the Smoke Church was Ziegel Church. Birthdates and baptisms, 1756-1879.

Charles Gebler Herman served the following Reformed churches: St. John's (Kutztown), DeLongs (Bowers or Maxatawney Township), Huff's (Huffs Church), Windsor, Gernant's, St. Peter's, Dunkel's, and Mertztown all of Berks County. In Lehigh County he served Lehigh, Weis (Weisenberg), Zions (probably Zionsville), and Fogel's (Fogelsville).
