Neshaminy Presbyterian Church was organized in 1727 in Warwick Township near Hartsville. Not until 1839 was a church established in Hartsville by a split-off group from the original church.

The Church was built in 1702 on Market Street and was also known as the Market Street Presbyterian Church. In 1793 the congregation moved to High Street nearby; in 1821 it moved to Washington Square.

Beth-Eden was incorporated into the First Baptist Church in 1895.
