Billie Smith was born 22 September 1904 in Sharp County, Arkansas. His parents were Al Smith and Margaret VanHorn. He married Irene Hanson, daughter of John Henry Hanson and Julia Francis Hendrix, 3 February 1926. They had three sons, Vondas Ardell, John Alvin and Langford O'Neil. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Arkansas.

John Hardy was born 1809 in Henry Co., Virginia. He was most likely the son of Joseph or Charles Hardy. John married Sarah Pedigo 24 May 1827 and they lived in Virginia. Samuel McHose (1746-1806) married Hannah Wilkins about 1768 and lived in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Isaac McHose (d.1789), probably a brother of Samuel, married Catharine Sewitz and died in Freedensville, Pennsylvania. About 1730 John with his neighbors bought land in Shenandoah Valley region in Virginia and migrated there. He married Barbara Morgan (d. 1786) before 1737. Both died in Frederick County, Virginia.
