Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of Peter Degenstein. He was born in 1766 in Waldimchelbach, Germany. He married Ann Katherina Muller in 1796. She was born in 1764 in Weinheim, Germany. The family moved to South Russia in 1808. They were the parents of one son. Some of their descendants immigrated to the United States starting in 1902. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Dakota, Minnesota and Alberta.

Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of Ichabod Hall who was born 1 July 1794 in Virginia. He married Gatsy Trewit (daughter of Willis Trewit and Nancy Wiggins) 13 July 1822 in Orange Co., North Carolina. They moved near Scio, Linn Co., Oregon ca. 1858 and were the parents of seven known children. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Oregon, Missouri, Texas, Washington, California and elsewhere.

Jacob Jansen Van Etten (1632-ca.1693) was a son of Johannes Marinessen Adriense and Wilhelimina Hoannes, born in Etter, Holland, The Netherlands. Jacob immigrated to land near Kingston, New York, where he worked as head farmer on the farm of Aert Pietersen Tack; Tack had abandoned his wife and farm and returned to Holland. The wife, Annetje (Arians) Tack petitioned for a divorce, which was granted, and she then married Jacob Jansen Van Etten in 1665....
