Ferdinandus VanSicklen, was born in Ghent, Belgium, in 1635. He later emigrated and settled near Coney Island, New York. It is believed that he is the ancestor of all American VanSickles. He married Evan Jansen, the daughter of Anthony and Grietje Jansen. Most members of the family moved about 40 miles west into New Jersey near Somerville. Vincentius Antonides Wickaut (1670-1744) emigrated from The Netherlands to Kings County, New York in 1705. Descendants used the surname of Antonides, and lived in New York, New Jersey and elsewhere.

Albert Albertse Terheunen was born in about 1619 in Huenen, Gelderland, Holland. He married Geertje Dircks in about 1648 in Flatlands, Long Island, New york. They had six children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in New York.

Nicholas Stillwell, an Englishman, and his first wife, Abagail, had two sons. After her death, he and his sons immigrated to America and settled on Manahttan Island, ca. 1638.
