Gottlieb Sorg of Guglingen, Germany was a peasant farmer who later became a preacher in the Evangelical Church. He married Christina (surname unknown) in Germany. They immigrated to the United States with their family ca. 1884 and lived in Holton, Kansas. Gottlieb died ca. 1924 in Holton, Kansas. Descendants lived in Kansas, Missouri, and elsewhere.

William Wailes was born in 1821 in Glasgow and married Elizabeth Pollock (1832-1879) in Whifflet, Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1854. She was the daughter of John Pollock (born 1803) and was born in Motherwell, Scotland. Several of their children immigrated to the U.S. between 1878-1888. Some descendants settled in Colorado with others living in Scotland, Australia and many in the western U.S., Michigan, and elsewhere.

Samuel Hazen was born in 1777 in Litchfield County, Connecticut. His father was Samuel Hazen. He married Elizabeth DeWitt (1775-1850) 3 April 1802 in Sussex County, New Jersey.
