Gottlieb Sorg of Guglingen, Germany was a peasant farmer who later became a preacher in the Evangelical Church. He married Christina (surname unknown) in Germany. They immigrated to the United States with their family ca. 1884 and lived in Holton, Kansas. Gottlieb died ca. 1924 in Holton, Kansas. Descendants lived in Kansas, Missouri, and elsewhere.

"Freiderich arrived in this country as one of Peter Hasenclever's workmen, bringing with him a 4-year old step-son, John Finster. This was in October, 1764." They settled in New Petersburg (German Flats), Herkimer Co., New York. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.

William Wailes was born in 1821 in Glasgow and married Elizabeth Pollock (1832-1879) in Whifflet, Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1854. She was the daughter of John Pollock (born 1803) and was born in Motherwell, Scotland. Several of their children immigrated to the U.S. between 1878-1888. Some descendants settled in Colorado with others living in Scotland, Australia and many in the western U.S., Michigan, and elsewhere.

John Charles Paugh, son of Erastus Paugh (1846-1923) and Minnie Anna Vetter (1870-1942), was born in 1896 in Jeffers, Montana. He married Dorothy Marion Reed (1899-1993), daughter of Frederick Thompson Reed (1856-1932) and Clara Elizabeth Sinsabaugh (1865-1936), in 1924 in Benchland, Montana. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Montana, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Lucas Vetter (1723-before 1785) was born at Derdingen, Württemberg, Germany, the son of Lucas Vetter (1696-before 1753). He married Agnes Wacker (d. before 1767) at Schoenaich, Koenigreich, Würtemberg, in 1753. They immigrated to America in 1754 and settled near Johnstown, in the present county of Fulton, New York. They had three children, 1754-ca. 1757, the first child born at sea. He and his second wife, Maria Eva Serviss, had five children, 1767-1779....

Patrick O'Toole was born in about 1800 in County Wicklow, Ireland. He married Margaret Doyle and they had five children. Patrick died in about 1845 and Margaret and the children immigrated to Canada in about 1848. Margaret died in 1877 in Peel Township, Wellington County, Ontario. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Michigan.

John P. Schumacher, son of Paul Schumacher and Magdalena Meier, was born in 1883 in Russia. He married Julia Geffre in 1906. They had ten children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Dakota.

Nicholas Vetter (ca. 1665-after July 1726) was born in or near Frensheim, Germany. He and his wife, Maria Elisabetha (1669/70-1723), had nine children, ca. 1694-1714. Their son, Joh. Michael Vetter, was born in 1703/04 at Freinsheim, Germany. He married Maria Catharina Weber in 1726 at Friensheim. They had two children, 1727-1730. The family immigrated to America in 1731. He purchased land in Oley, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, in 1736....

George Wilhelm Vetter (1804-1893) emigrated from Germany to America and landed at Philadelphia, PA in 1832. He later settled at Woodstock, in Shenandoah Co., Virginia. He married twice: (1) Sophia Kobler and (2) Catherine Doll. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and elsewhere.
