Description
The Waite family appears to have originated in Wiltshire and were known during the Middle Ages as the Waitehall family. One of the descendants of the Wiltshire Waitehall family was Edward Waite (1824-1904) who married Sarah Hale and was the father of eight children.

Lyman Henry Moulton (1881-1959) was born in Heber, Utah to Joseph and Annie Katrina Jensen Moulton, both of whom had been converts to the LDS Church. Annie was one of Joseph's plural wives. In 1917 he married Laura Ellen Leavitt (1892-1964) in Fillmore, Utah. Laura was the daughter of Thomas Dudley and Adah Ann Waite Leavitt. She was born and raised in Bunkerville, Nevada. They settled in Sutherland, Utah where they were the parents of nine children....

Columbus Alfred Martin was born 22 November 1881 in Northport, Alabama. His parents were Wiley C. Martin and Amanda A. Clements. He married Jim Mayfield Trim (1906-1995), daughter of James Alexander Trimm (1850-1915) and Martha Waite (1858-1941), in 1905. They had five children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Ireland, Virginia, South Carolina and Alabama.

Richard Warren (d. 1628) emigrated from London, with his family, on the "Mayflower" in 1620. Barton Warren was a direct descendant in the eighth generation, and the author was a direct descendant in another line in the tenth generation. Descendants listed lived chiefly in New England and New York.

Elias Whitcomb, son of William Whitcomb and Sarah Shall (or Shawl), was born 25 January 1825 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He married Sarah E. McDonald (1848-1899) in 1866 in Jay County, Indiana. Their daughter, Matilda J. Whitcomb (1875-1952) married Howard Butler Hazzard (1863-1938), son of J. E. Hazzard (1827-1912) and Susan Meyers, in 1892 in Sheridan, Wisconsin.

Kathryn Isabella Bihrer was born in Iowa in 1929 tto Alice Nellist and John Caspar Bihrer. She married Forrest Pearson in 1949 and now lives in Illinois. This collection traces her paternal and maternal family lines back to England and Germany. Information on the Pearson and Sauter lines which belong to her husband and go back into Sweden and Germany are also part of the collection.
