William Davidson Gibbons (1783-1854), a son of Lemuel Gibbons and Mary Goss, was born in Massachusetts. He married Mary Hoover (1794?- ca. 1825) about 1810. They had seven children. He married Anna Roney (1791-1861) in 1854. They had three children. Some descendants are LDS, and live in Utah and Arizona.

He and his wife, Elizabeth settled in Weymouth, Massachusettes about 1640, but later moved to Braintree and then to Billerica where he died. One descendant was David Foster, Sr. (1758- 1821).
