George Andrew Hamilton was born 3 February 1877 at Three Mile Bay, New York. His parents were Martin Hamilton and Annie Eliza Carter. He married Grace Harriet Entwistle (1884-1972), daughter of Samuel Entwistle and Ella Reed, 30 July 1908 at Jamestown, New York. They had four children.
