William Henry Kirkman (1860-1939) was the son of Bartley William Kirkman and Nancy Watkins of Shelbyville, Shelby County, Illinois. He married two times: 1) Della Retta Tripp in 1881 and 2) Myrtle Gertrude Guinn in 1903. Della died in 1898. Three sons and one daughter made up the first family. Martha Pearse/Pierce was the daughter of Warren and Martha Andrews. Her son Lovick Pierce I (ca. 1761-1821) married Lydia Culpepper about 1781. Reddick and Lovick, II were their sons. Reddick (1782- 1860) married Rebecca Arthur (1785-1838). Lovick, II (1785-1879) and Ann Martin Foster (1789-1850) were married in 1809. Descendants lived chiefly in Georgia.

Drury Smith was born in about 1746 in Virginia. He married Betsy Vaughn in about 1767. They had twelve children. He married Eleanor Smith in about 1797 and they had four children.
