William Henry Kirkman (1860-1939) was the son of Bartley William Kirkman and Nancy Watkins of Shelbyville, Shelby County, Illinois. He married two times: 1) Della Retta Tripp in 1881 and 2) Myrtle Gertrude Guinn in 1903. Della died in 1898. Three sons and one daughter made up the first family. Drury Smith was born in about 1746 in Virginia. He married Betsy Vaughn in about 1767. They had twelve children. He married Eleanor Smith in about 1797 and they had four children. Drury died in 1822 in Paw Paw Creek, Rockingham, North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Texas and California.

Benjamin Watkins was a soldier in the American Revolution. He died in 1829. Abraham Casteel married Elizabeth D. Watkins in 1835. Ann E. Casteel married Jesse Coats in 1855.

John Spearman, parents not listed, was in Virginia around 1660. He was married to Susannah (last name unknown) by 1666. They have one child. He died before 1683. His descendants have lived in Virginia, South Carolina, Louisiana, Georgia, Iowa and other areas throughout the United States.

John Acton married Jennie Roberts and they had ten children. They lived in Kentucky until 1816 when they moved to Alabama. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, Oregon, Florida, California, Oklahoma, Georgia, Michigan, Arkansas and elsewhere.
