John Waugh was born in 1687 in northern England. He immigrated to America in 1718 and eventually settled in Litchfield, Connecticut in about 1745. His wife's name was Margaret. Traces the Waugh line through John's son Alexander (b. 1729) and his wife Elizabeth Troop, and Alexander's son Dan (b. 1767) and his wife Irene Smedley.
