Description
Henry Way was born in England in 1620 and immigrated about 1630 to Dorchester, Massachusetts. He died in 1667. His direct descendant, Titus Way (who was a Loyalist during the Revolution), settled in New Brunswick, Canada about 1785 and died after 1809.

Description
Record of the descendants of Martin Staley and Charity Moretz. Martin was born in Germany and died on 31 March 1817 in North Carolina. He married Charity, daughter of John Moretz, in Germany. The family immigrated to North Carolina in 1760.

Henry Ozbun Way and Ann Millis Frazer Way were the parents of nine children. Their daughter, Mary Matilda (1841-1932) married William P. Brown (1838-1910) in 1864 and they had at least six children. The diaries cover the years of their migration from Iowa to Indiana and thence to California. Henry and William died in Los Angeles, Mary Matilda died in Whittier and Ann died in Pasadena.

Daniel Henrich Esch, born in 1717 in Hachenberg, Hessen-Nassau, Germany, immigrated to America in 1741 and settled in Pennsylvania. He married Elizabeth Kerlin about 1743, and was lost at sea about 1746/1747. Descendants listed in this book lived primarily in Pennsylvania and the mid-western states.

Thomas Cooper (1617-1675) was among a party recruited by Francis Stiles in England to colonize Connecticut beginning in 1634. Thomas married Sarah Slye in Windsor, Connecticut about 1641, after which they bought land and settled in Springfield, Massachusetts.
