Nickolas Weaver was born 13 September 1814 in Ohio. He was the son of Samuel Weaver and Elizabeth Keim. Nickolas married Elizabeth Schrock. She was the daughter of an Amish farmer in Ohio named John Schrock. Nickolas and Elizabeth lived in Ohio and were the parents of ten children. Descendants lived in Ohio, Indiana, Missouri and elsewhere.

Jacob Weaver (1748-1820) immigrated with a cousin, Christian Weaver, in 1764 from Switzerland to Philadelphia, and served as a redemptioner in Berks County, Pennsylvania to pay for his passage.
