Henry Gibbel was born probably in Germany about 1717. He came to America before 1748 when he joined a congregation of the Church of the Brethren in Pennsylvania. He married Christina (possibly Deyer) and they had at least five sons. Information on many of his descendants who live in Pennsylvania and elsewhere is given in this material collected from many sources by Ira Gibbel.

William Good (1737-1806) was the son of William Good/Gude/Guth, who immigrated to Pennsylvania from Zweibrucken, Germany and died in Berks County, Pennsylvania in 1779. He married Maria Snavely/ Snively about 1762 and they migrated to Shenandoah Co., Virginia in 1767. Descendants of their twelve children lived in Indiana, New Jersey, Maryland, Minnesota, Illinois and elsewhere.

Jacob Weaver (1748-1820) immigrated with a cousin, Christian Weaver, in 1764 from Switzerland to Philadelphia, and served as a redemptioner in Berks County, Pennsylvania to pay for his passage. He married Magdalena Overholser in 1779/1780, and settled in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives, many of whom were Amish Mennonites, lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio and elsewhere. Includes some ancestors to 1727 in Philadelphia.

Eli A. Kandel was born in Indiana or Ohio on the 11 May 1867. He was a descendant of Peter Kandel (born ca. 1783) and Elizabeth Drushel of Pennsylvania. Eli married Sarah Weaver in January of 1888 and later married Elizabeth Gingerich sometime after the year 1898. Eli was the father of at least five known children and died 4 February 1941. Descendants lived primarily in Ohio and elsewhere.
