Isaac Smutz was born 16 May 1810 in Maryland. His parents were David Smutz (1786-1852) and Mary Ann Thomas (1786-1847). His family moved to Pennsylvania in 1816. He married Sarah Stauffer, daughter of Christian Stauffer and Agnes Overholt, in 1832. They had twelve children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Missouri and Iowa. John Wees (ca.1742-ca.1815), listed as Hannes Wiesch or Weisch in Dutch Dutch Reformed Church records, immigrated with his wife, Mary, and his family in 1782 from Albany County, New York to Ernestown, Lennox County, Ontario as United Empire Loyalists. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Weese) and relatives lived in Ontario and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Brooklyn, New York and elsewhere in the United States.

William Rogers (1750-1820) was baptized in New York and married Mary Williams, daughter of John Williams Sr. and Catherine Williams, in 1771. He was a loyalist during the Revolutionary War and immigrated to Canada. William died in Ernestown, Ontario. Descendants lived in Ontario, Kansas, Michigan, and elsewhere.

Chiefly a record of of some of the descendants of George W. Moss. He was born ca. 1791 in North Carolina. He married in 1837 to Katherine. They were the parents of five known children. Katherine died between 1840 and 1850. George remarried to Tabitha. She was born ca. 1790 in North Carolina. Both George and Tabitha died after 1860. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Indiana, Kansas, and elsewhere.
