John Welton (1633-1726) immigrated to New England in the mid 1660s. He married Mary Upson in about 1666. They had eleven children. They settled in Farmington, Connecticut. John William Stayton (1830-1894) married Jennie Weldon in 1856 at Milburn, Ballard County, Kentucky, and subsequently moved to Tyler, Smith County, Texas. Jennie was a daughter of Abraham Weldon (b.1800) and Mary Grundy Rutter, who also moved from Kentucky to Texas (to Indianola, Calhoun County, Texas). Descendants and relatives lived in Kentucky, Texas and elsewhere.

Rose Foster Randolph (b. 1931) was born in Philadelphia to Daniel H. Foster (1889-1963) and Anna Rutledge (1896-1970). Her parents' ancestors were from Pennsylvania, Ireland, Delaware, and New Jersey.

Jacob Weldon (ca.1723-1783) and his family settled in St. Paul's Parish (later Richmond County, now Columbia County), Georgia in 1772, moving there from either Virginia or the Carolinas. Descendants lived in Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and elsewhere.

Eldon "Flint" Mitchell (ca. 1800-1869?) was born in South Carolina and migrated to Clark County, Georgia, probably with his parents, ca. 1817 or before. He married Charlotte "Charlotty" Thompson (1796- 1876), daughter of Frederick Thompson, a Revolutionary War soldier, ca. 1825 in Georgia.
