Jacob Schramm (1698-1747) was born in Germany and married a lady named Anna Maria in 1718. They were the parents of four children. They immigrated to America and settled in Pennsylvania. One of their children was Gorg Schramm (1722-1772) who was also born in Germany and immigrated with his parents while still a child. He married Elisabeth Reiff and they were the parents of eleven children. Descendants live throughout the United States.
