George Washington Stewart was born 28 January 1824 in Perry Co., Mississippi. He was the son of Hiram Stewart and Frances Bounds. George married Elizabeth Jane Wheat 6 May 1843 in Mississippi. They were the parents of eight known children. George died 16 September 1865 and was buried in Pearl River Co., Mississippi. Piercifor Fraser Richards (1807-1886) immigrated in 1820 with his parents from Wales to New York. His parents either died at sea or during quarantine after landing. There may have been as many as five chldren, three boys and two girls, and possibly one of the boys was a twin of Piercifor, whose name would have been Percival Franklin Richards.
