Description
Jacob Peterman (b. 1733) and his wife, Anne Peterman (b. 1733), were married in 1755. They had eight children, 1757-1773. One of their daughters, perhaps Mary (b. 1761) or Hannah (b. 1763), probably married John Whiteman (b. 1753). There were eight Whiteman children born 1781-1801.

Alfred Harrison was born in England in 1791. He married Mary Ann Hill Westwood and they had four children. She and their daughter died about 1820 and Alfred left his three sons in England and came to America settling in Indiana. After arriving he married Emma Banks and they had five more children. One of his descendants, John Thomas Johnson (1850-1932), was born in Wood County, Virginia and married Susan Mina Uhl (1857-1928). Samuel Whiteman (1784-1850) married Rachel Parker, daughter of John Parker, a Revolutionary War soldier, in Pennsylvania. They were the parents of seven children, born in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The family migrated to Seneca County, Ohio, ca. 1817. Their grandson, Henry Parker Whiteman (1838-1916), son of Humphrey and Sarah Guisbert Whiteman, married Mary Minerva Burge, daughter of Jacob and Sarah Denson Burdge in 1860. Thomas Humpherys was born in 1812 in Skegby, Nottingham, England. His parents were Thomas Humpherys and Sarah Ashley. He married Mary Sudbury (1811-1876), daughter of John Cates Sudbury and Sarah Marshall, 26 December 1831. They had ten children. They emigrated in 1853. Thomas died 20 November 1853 in St. Louis, Missouri. His family settled in Ogden, Utah. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Utah and Idaho.

Mordecai Hord Fleming (1788-1849) was born in Henry County, North Carolina and died in Clarksville, Texas. He was the son of John Fleming, who emigrated from Ireland, and Jean or Jane Hord, who were married in 1776. In 1810 he married Mary (Polly) McCraw (d. 1831), daughter of Jacob McCraw and Elizabeth Waller. After her death, he moved his family to Texas. Descendants and relatives lived in Texas, Arkansas, Oklkahoma, and elsewhere.
