Description
William C. Cornwell, Sr., was born in 1768 in Virginia. Mary F. Swan was born in 1775 in Maryland. They were married in 1794. They had ten children, 1795-1819. The family was living in Maryland in 1795; in Virginia, in 1802; in Jefferson County, Kentucky, in 1807; and migrated to Orange County, Indiana, ca. 1821. He died there in 1845. Descendants lived in Indiana and elsewhere.
Includes the Compton, Grisby, Strange, Wible, and other related families....

Thomas Wray, son of William Wray and Mary McClure, was born in 1787 in County Donegal. Ireland. He married Elizabeth Black (1801-1869) in about 1825 in Ireland. They had twelve children. They emigrated in 1848 and settled in Quincy, Illinois. He died in 1870 in Adams County, Illinois. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma and California.
