Transcripts of records concerning many people named Waddle, in an attempt to identify the parents of Permelia Ann Waddle, who was born in Georgia between 1829 and 1836. She married James M. Wilkerson in 1859, and died in 1888/89 after moving to Arkansas. Her husband had died before 1885. The records transcribed are from Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

William Richard Rucker was born 2 May 1892 in Madison Heights, Virginia. His parents were Henry Wingfield Rucker and Elizabeth Boyd Bethel. He married Addie Christian Wilkerson (1895-1988), daughter of Joseph Walker Wilkerson and Martha Turpin Depriest, in 1917. They had nine children. He died in 1980 in Brigham City, Utah.

Joseph Wilkerson, parents not listed, was born in Chesterfield County, Virginia in 1757. Joseph married Elizabeth Blazebrook Fowler, daughter of Elizabeth Fowler, on 29 Apr 1785 In Bedford County, Virginia. They had 9 children. Elizabeth died on 28 Sep 1834 in Jennings County, Indiana, and Joseph died there on 7 Oct 1841. Their descendants have lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and other areas in the United States.

Adam Meek, born ca. 1640, lived in Lincolnshire, England. His sons John and Jacob came to Virginia in 1719. Descendants lived in Ireland, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere.

Thomas Burrows was born ca. 1820 in Tennessee or Alabama. He married Ellender MacKey 9 July 1840 in Shelby Co., Tennessee. They moved to Mississippi in 1841 and by the year 1855, moved to Arkansas. Thomas was the father of at least four known children and likely died in Arkansas prior to 1880. Descendants lived primarily in Arkansas and elsewhere.

Edward Everett Farris was born in Illinois in 1863. He worked for the railroad before marrying Birdie Elizabeth Goff. He then worked for the power company so he could be home more. They were the parents seven children. Information on their ancestry, their lives, and those of their children is given in this volume.
