Johann Nicolas Neu (b.1716), son of Johan Philipp Neu, married Maria Margaretha Henn in 1740, and in 1741 immigrated from the Palatinate of Germany to Philadelphia. They settled on land in Lancaster (now Schuylkill) County, Pennsylvania. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Nye) and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New York, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Kansas, Oregon, California and elsewhere.

Description
William Wilkinson Dixon (1818-1891), son of William Dixon and Ann Wilkinson, emigrated from England to New York City, moved further westward and became a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Sabra Lake in 1842 at Geneva, Illinois, moved to Salt Lake City in 1850, and settled at Harrisville, Utah. Descendants lived in Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada and elsewhere.
