Description
Justin Winsor was born January 2, 1831 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Nathaniel Winsor Jr. and Ann Thomas Howland. He was a prominent writer and librarian at the Boston Public Library and Harvard University. He was the founder of the American Library Association. He married Caroline Tufts Barker in 1855. He died in Cambridge, Massachusetts on 22 October 1897.

George Henry Winsor, son of Edward Mitchell Winsor, born 14 May 1846, married Lucy Jane Draper, daughter of Alpha Angell Draper and Lydia Hawkins, on 25 Nov 1869. He died on 7 Dec 1906. They had two children, one being the author of this work. Their descendants live in Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, California, and other areas in the United States.

She married Philo Coombs Carter, son of Philo Vinson Carter and Nellie Pearl Coombs, 30 April 1927 in Florence, Arizona. They had five children. She died in 1997 in Panguitch, Utah. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, Arizona and Utah.
