Conrad Dietz (1711-1758) was born in "Hinterwidenthal, Deux Ponts Duchy Rheinish Palatinate, Germany" to John and Maria Catharina Dietz. Conrad married Catherine Bracher in 1734. In 1738 they emigrated to America settling in Hellam Township, York County, Pennsylvania. In 1758 during a dysentery outbreak, the entire family died except for a son, John George (1739-1822).
