John Wolfensberger (ca. 1694-1760), son of Erhart Wolfensberger and Ursula Emm, married Ann Margaretha Ensminger (1697-1775), daughter of Philip Ensminger, Jr. and Elizabeth, in 1721. In 1730 they immigrated to Pennsylvania with their three sons, Peter, Frederick and John, and settled near relatives and friends in Lancaster County. John Wolfensberger died in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.

John Samuel Duey, son of Peter Duey and Mary Magdeline Kast, was born 20 Oct 1820, in Southhampton Township, Shippensburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. He married Mary Ann Durnbaugh, daughter of Joseph Durnbaugh and Susan, on 22 May 1846 in Shippensburg. They had 12 children.
