"Hans Hansen was born on April 1852 on Odegaardslokken farm, Lesja, Oppland, Norway. He was the youngest child of Hans Pedersen and Anne Olsdatter. He lived on Odegaardslokken at least until 1865, when he was listed with his father in the census. Gustav Adolph Kunkel, son of William J. Kunkel and Caroline Albrecht, was born in 1846 in Wirrubki, Weisenberg, Posen, Prussia. He married Pauline Albertine Wilhelm (1851-1934). They had fifteen children. He died in 1921 in Olney, Texas. His parents and siblings emigrated at different times and settled in Texas.
