Adam Blackman was born in 1598 in England. He married Jane in about 1623 and they had seven children. They emigrated in about 1639 and settled in Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut. Adam died 7 September 1665. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Connecticut, New York and Ohio.

John Curtis was baptized 15 September 1577 in Nazeing, Essex, England. He married Elizabeth Hutchins, daughter of John Hutchins and Maria, in 1610. They had three sons, John, William and Thomas. Rev. John Wooster, son of David and Roxana Willey Wooster, and a descendant of Edward Wooster (d. 1689), the immigrant, was born at Campton, New Hampshire, in 1798. He married Charlotte Babcock (1807-1829) in 1822. They had two children, 1826-1828, born at Blendon, Ohio. He married 2) Fannie Reed Stebbins (1804-1888) in 1832. John Davis (1755-1848), a direct descendant in the fourth generation, served with Connecticut militia during the Revolutionary War, and married Mehitable Thomas in 1782. Clyde Kendle Tingley was born 5 January 1881 in Springfield, Clark, Ohio. His parents were George Washington Tingley (1845-1906) and Isabelle Hanson (1827-1936).
