Isaac, Edward and Jacob Wootten emigrated from England in 1632 and settled in Delaware. Descendant, William Wooten (1780-1832) was the father of George S. Wootten, who was born in 1805. George married Martha Moore Coffee (1815-1896), widow of Joel Coffee (1808-1848) and daughter of Alfred Jefferson Moore and Elizabeth Nancy Jackson, in 1856 in Illinois or Indiana. Peter Gordy Sr. (ca1710-1776) was of Worcester Co., Maryland and owned land. He was the father of John, Peter, Moses, Levinah, Mary, Sarah Eunice. His wife was Catherine. He probably had a brother Moses (d.1775) who died in Worcester Co. and had sons Eli, John, Peter, Thomas, Jacob, Moses and Aaron and daughters Nancy, Mary, Suffiah and Nelley. His wife was Ann. Several generations of descendants are given.

Thomas Watton or Wotton (1612-1670) immigrated from England to James City County, Virginia in 1639, and later settled in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. He was probably the son of Thomas and Jane Watton of Castor (near Peterborough, Northampton County), England. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, North Carolina and elsewhere. The author recites and then discounts the story that Thomas was the surgeon in the original Jamestown colony.

George Adam Keicher was born 15 May 1754 in Buck, Pennsylvia and on May 1781 he married Elizabeth in North Carolina, who born 8 March 1762. Their children included Johann, Christian, George, Susannah, Charles, Benjamin, Margaret and Evan. George died in Georgia in 1844 and Elizabeth died in 1854.

Thomas Smith was born 17 June 1785 in Rowan Co., North Carolina. He married Rebecca Wilson ca. 1814. They moved to Rutherford Co., Tennessee prior to 1816 and by 1836 settled in Washington Co., Arkansas. They were the parents of eight known children. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, California and elsewhere.

William Fowlkes (d. 1835) was the son of John and Sarah Fowlkes. He married three times and had three children from each union. Sallie Cralle (1761-1840) was the last wife. He was a Revolutionary War soldier. Descendants and relatives lived chiefly in Virginia.
