Elizabeth Wyant was born in 1906 at Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Andrew Robert Elmer Wyant (1867-1964) and Louise Hulbert Wyant (1870-1945). She married Charles Francis Martin (1883-1952) at Chicago in 1938. They had two children, 1939-1946. The family lived in Illinois, Kansas, Washington, and California.
