Henry Wyman was born in England in 1760. He was sent to America as a Hessian soldier when he was seventeen. He remained after the war and lived in North Carolina, Kentucky and Indiana. His first wife was Katherine Karnes and his second wife was a Smith. He had seven children. He died in 1840.

Francis Wyman (d.1658/9)emigrated with his brother John, to Charlestown, Massachusetts from West Mill, Herts County, England, sometime in the 1600s. Later he built a home in Burlington, Maine, which has been lived in continuously since 1666. He was the progenitor of Daniel (1752-1831) and Raymond Currier Wyman (b.1905). Fourteen generations are included of ancestors and descendants. Descendants are located in Maryland, Maine, New York and elsewhere....

John Wyman and Francis Wyman, tanners by profession, are the progenitors of the largest portion of the Wyman family in America. Harvey Gillitt was born 26 September 1830 in Lysander, Onandaga, New York. His parents were Nathan Colegrove Gillitt and Jemima Ash. He married Georgeanna Rebecca Shubert, daughter of George Shubert and Elizabeth Eastburn Beckhorn, 15 June 1857 in Philadelphia. They had nine children. Harvey died in 1903 in Hastings, Minnesota. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Minnesota and California.
