Adam Schmer, son of John Schmer and Elizabeth Urbach, was born in 1871 in Norka, Russia. He married Margaret Jäger, daughter of John Peter Jäger and Christina Marie Grün, in 1897 in Norka, Russia. They had seven children. He died in 1953 in Portland, Oregon.

John Yeager, Sr. arrived in Canada around 1797 from Germany at the age of 29 or 30. He married Catherine Corman by 1786. They had four children, the descendants of whom are mostly located in Ontario and other provinces of Canada. Some have settled in the United States.

He was a descendant of Andreas Vocht (or Focht) who immigrated to America from Rotterdam, Holland ca. 1764. Daniel married Catherine (surname unknown) sometime prior to the year 1825. He married Julietta Wynn (1855-1977), daughter of Soloman Wynn (1855-1941) in 1905 in Hanover County, Virginia. Julietta was part Lenape and Cherokee.
